I’m excited to be back to share another installment of my series of the Search for the Perfect T-Shirt. I’m here today to talk a little bit about the Panama Tee and Panama Tee Dress from Alina Design Co. I sewed up the Panama Tee Dress last week one night after work and was so pleasantly surprised how much I loved it. I’ve mentioned before, but I am not a dress person usually, but as I mentioned in my Wardrobe Staples post yesterday, I have been so into t-shirt dresses. After loving the … View Post
Me Made May is halfway over and it’s been a really wonderful experience so far! While I always considered myself to wear something handmade everyday, I didn’t realize that I wear the same couple items over and over again. In order to not make it terribly boring for anyone who watches my Instagram stories, I’ve been trying to avoid too many outfit repeats, although as we hit the halfway mark, I can’t guarantee you won’t start to see repeats. What is has taught me is the “staples” in my … View Post
After the release of The Simple Life Pattern Company x Sew Caroline, I could not get the Ayda dress and top out of my head. I originally planed on just making the dress this weekend to wear to Mother’s Day brunch, but after making it, I decided to make a top version and make another Molly top. I have been obsessed with circle skirt tops recently and when the opportunity to test the Molly Top + Dress came up I signed right up! At the time, the whole project was a bit of a secret, but us testers found out a couple days ago that this test was a collaboration with Simple Life Pattern Company. Katie, from Simple Life Pattern Company, and Caroline, from Sew Caroline, worked together to … View Post
The Seamly Basic Tee was by far the most requested t-shirt when I posted about my series a couple weeks ago – everyone LOVES this t-shirt! I’ll be honest – when I made this shirt, I hated it. But after seeing the pictures of it and wearing it for a full day – I can see why you all like it so much! While it may not be my perfect t-shirt, there’s a lot of good to it. The Seamly Basic Tee was a product of a collaboration with Seamly and Indiesew and is an exclusive pattern for Indiesew. It … View Post
Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m here sharing a few of my favorites in sewing tools, patterns and entertainment from the month of March that I enjoyed while working on my April sewing projects! If you missed it, check out my roundup of my April makes! Sewing Tools – Seam Ripper – Is this a lame one? I have been seam ripping a lot these days…so I felt like it deserved an honorary mention here. I’m taking suggestions for a favorite seam ripper – I use the standard one that comes with your … View Post
